Hi, I’m Dr. Mark Berkowitz of Michigan Hair Restoration and if you are suffering with hair loss, I know what you are going through.

I was in my early 30’s when I first started noticing that my hair was thinning. I blamed it on the stress of medical school and I hoped that once I started my practice and became more established, it would either fill back in or it wouldn’t bother me as much. Well, as we all know, once it’s gone, it doesn’t come back. Even though I pretended I was ok with it, when I looked in the mirror, I didn’t like what I saw.

As a surgeon, it’s my job to help people look better and feel better about their appearances. I didn’t want my hair loss to affect my career because how could I help others feel better about themselves when I didn’t feel good about myself because of my hair loss?

One day, I knew that I needed to make a change and NeoGraft was my solution. Previously, I wouldn’t have considered a traditional strip method hair transplant because of the down time and the permanent scar. I have a very demanding work schedule and an active lifestyle and I just didn’t have the time for traditional hair replacement. With the support of my wife and the staff at Michigan Hair Restoration, I went through the NeoGraft procedure 4 months ago and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results.

Earned his B.S. degree from City University of New York’s Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education – graduating cum laude and dean’s list
Achieved his degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York in two years
Completed a one-year Internship at the Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York
Completed a three-year residency training at the Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York (Chief Resident during his final year)

I liked that he had the procedure himself and you could see the results firsthand. His staff is very accommodating and he has a very clean higher-end, but discreet office. After the first few months I was discouraged with the results, but the doctor and staff told me to stick with it and sure enough I saw great results from six months on and I continue to see improvement a little over a year after the procedure.

From the first consultation meeting, the entire staff and Dr. Berkowitz was willing and extremely helpful. They were very considerate of my situation and offered their professional opinion.
